what is a ''shashtashtagam'' in the horoscope matching ?

Raye Tredennick: Horoscope is covered by 12 Raasis, i mean 12 zodiac signs. These Raasis are covered by 27 stars and 9 grahas. The horoscope is prepared based on the above. we can know the plus and minus points based on Raasi, stars, the places of grahas. There are 12 Raasis and 9 grahas. Raasis are Mesha, rishaba, midhuna, kadaga, simma, kanni,thula, vrichiga, dhanush, makara, kumba and meena. The grahas are soorya, chandra, chevva, bhudha, guru, shukra, sani, raagu, and kethu. Actually, the Raaghu, and kethu are not considered as grahas and they are called ''chayya'' grahas. in fact they have no own houses.shashtashtagam ''shashta'' means six, and ''ashta'' means eight. it means the horoscopes while matching with a boy or girl a ''dhosha'' if shashtashtagam occurs.If the Raasi of the boy comes on 6th of girl's raasi, and it is natural the girls rasi will come to 8th place to boy's raasi. i explain.Boy's raasi is kataga and the girl's raasi is kumba.
