Best style for a scientific paper?

Ivan Velazquez: Just look at the journal and copy their style. If it's a report for class, select any peer-reviewed journal in the field.

Porfirio Cahall: If you're submitting it to a journal, they all have their own styles. That information is under 'information for authors' on the journal website. Often you have to completely reformat your paper to send it to a different journal. And many use LaTeX, which you would need to learn before submitting a paper to a journal. But if it's just a paper for a class and they didn't specify which style to use, it's up to you - MLA, Harvard, Chicago, etc.
