If something happened to destroy 90% of them, we would be living Mad Max Road Warrior and the stock market DJA would be at 3,000.Small business has been under attack for decades (along with the middle class). Drive around America. How many privately owned "mom&pop" businesses do you see these days? Movie theaters, restaurants, thrift stores are all being taken over by large corporate chains. This has been called the Los Angeles -ization of America, in that one city looks like another. I like driving through smaller towns which are too low population density to have a Walmart of Home Depot and where the privately owned "Main Street" still exists.And still small business provides 70% of new jobs, or will again, once the Federal government quits scaring the heck out of their owners with threats of more regulations, more! taxes, increased health care costs, uncertain monetary policy! , banking policy, etc....Show more
