Should I take my car with me to Edison, New Jersey?

Asa Soho: If I were you, I'd take my car. You can always sell it later without any problem. There isn't much in the way of public transportation in Edison or the surrounding towns except for NJ Transit which is really only good for commuting to and from NYC. It would be very difficult to get around the area without a car. Car insurance is very high. My dad lives in Florida and I pay almost twice as much as he does so just prepare to pay almost double what you are now paying.
