my friend bought a car and she bought it as is?

Ayesha Genova: I agree with Lydia; your friend should have had the car checked by an off-lot mechanic. The Lemon Laws are different in each state; I suggest your friend check this web site:http://www.carlemon.com/to see if she has any recourse.

Sibyl Siwik: Sad to say AS IS is AS IS... Bring the car back to the seller and maybe he will have a heart but I have a feeling he knew exactly what he was doing.

Jacques Teri: Nope. That's what "as is" means. She should have had it checked by a mechanic before she bought it.

Ramona Pago: it was bought at a dealer as is

Leisa Brodnex: was it bought at a dealer or private?

Colby Millberg: Not sure, but probably not because she bought it AS IS, which means if there is anything wrong with it you are responsible, but because it is a dealership and if the car is the same make that they sell there, and depending on the year of the car, THE car manufactorer might help, their number is in the owners manual! guide in the back pages.......But also there is something in the law that says you have 3 days to return it, I don't know all of the details of the 3 day law.....CHECK WITH A LAWYER....ASAP..........Show more

Filiberto Amauty: Lemon laws only apply to new cars, not used cars. She could go back to the dealer and plead her case but the dealer has no obligation to help her since the car was sold "as-is" which means the buyer is acknowledging they understand the condition of the car and are willing to buy it anyway. This is why it is so important to get a mechanic's inspection on used car BEFORE they are purchased.

Maynard Reevers: Dealers sell cars.Smart consumers know what they are buying into before signing the papers. Now what's the real question as she has no legal leg to stand on?

Darrin Hixenbaugh: Lemon laws protect the buyers of NEW cars from serious, recurring defects. There is no protection under the lemon law for a used car sold "as is". Your frien! d had the opportunity to inspect the car before she bought it,! that is the only protection when buying a used car.Oh, and there's no such thing as the "3-day law" when buying a car, new or used. That's a myth.

Can I buy this car?

Samara Siewers: 30 grand for a 3 year old Hoopdaru is waaay too much...besides "you'll put your eye out"

Azalee Ahrendes: You haven't given enough information for me to know for sure if you could get this car today. From what you have said, my guess is probably not. The really long part after this is why, and what you can do about it.Most 18 year olds have little to no credit, employment history, or cash. Most lenders will require a first-time borrower to prove that s/he has had the same job and address for at least a year, be earning at least $1,500/mo (pretax ok), and have at least 10% cash down to get a loan of no more than $9,000. Employment and residence history show stability, and the cash will give the lender some security against default.I don't know exactly how much the '05 WRX sti you're looking at is worth, but one with standard equipment and 25k miles on it would retail for less than $29,000 & private party for less than $26,000. Even if you can buy wit! hout any cash up front, the estimated retail value (plus a bit for government fees & maybe a warranty) is generally the most anyone can borrow. Lenders won’t normally lend more money for go-fast parts (turbo/super chargers, exhausts, etc) that didn't come from the factory. You have to pay cash for those.I have decent credit & income. My $30,000 car loan came with 72, $500 monthly payments, plus insurance, maintenance, and gas. With an income of $1,500/mo, you’d probably need to put @ $20-22,000 down to get a loan with an affordable payment. With no cash, you’d likely need to earn at least $5,000/mo. This is assuming clean, but unsubstantial, credit, and a verifiable employment history. Here’s what you should do. Save at least $1,500. After you've had your paying job for a year (earning at least $1,500/mo), find a dependable car with a total cost (purchase price, tax, title, etc) of no more than $10,000. Be sure you get the loan from someone who will report your pay! ments to the credit bureaus. Make no fewer than 12 monthly pay! ments. This will give you car buying credit. Each month, pay early and pay over the minimum. If your payment of $200 is due on the 10th of the month, pay $240 by the 3rd of the month. This will give you equity and save you money. While you're making these payments, save another $3,000. After this, you'll be in a great position to purchase the car you want. Loans like credit cards won't really help you get a car, but they can hurt you.I'm sure a two year plan was not what you had in mind. I've made hundreds of car deals over the last couple of years, and helped countless people get their credit up to speed through my credit seminars. Based on the information you've given, and what I know, this is the best option....Show more

Janeen Perona: 30 Grand is way too expensive for 18yo's to pay. Besides that being your first car, it is subject to being in a wreck. :)

Brenton Cornwall: NO BECAUSE...................1. YOU ARE JUST STARTING OUT AND YOU DON'T WANT TO COUNT ! YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH.2. THE PAYMENTS WILL BE VERY HIGH FOR YOU.3. THE INSURANCE "FULL COVERAGE" WILL BE VERY HIGH.4. YOU WILL NEED GAS AND FOOD AS WELL....Show more

How to sell a car when the bank owns the pink slip?

Ollie Desalvo: call the bank, find out the payoff amount, arrive at a selling price or value of your car to determine if you owe less than it's worth(equity),if so advertise car, when you find a qualified buyer,(one with money or credit worthiness to finance) have check made payable to both you and the bank,go there payoff the car ,the bank will give you your money over the payoff and assist your buyer with title transfer,in most states the license plates stay with the current owner for transfer to his/her next car....Show more

Alisa Kaleiwahea: You mean the bank has a lean on it?If so, you can't sell it because it belongs to the bank.

Bianca Lannier: It's very simple. You must pay off the loan in full in order to obtain the title and transfer it to the new owner.Take the money you get from selling the car and pay off the loan. When the title comes in, sign it over to the buyer. If the money you get isn't enough to pay off the loan then the balance needs to ! come out of your pocket. This process is done thousands of times every day. It should take anywhere from 2 hours to 2 weeks, depending on your lender to get the title. The buyer can legally drive the car on a paper tag until you meet with them and sign the title over....Show more

Question on Pro Plan Selects?

Question on Pro Plan Selects?

answers 0:Now I'm gonna ask that no one criticize me for using this brand all i want is an answer from this question please. I've finally decided to switch my dog from regular Pro Plan to Pro Plan Selects the only thing is that the regular Pro Plan guarantees many things including "crunchy kibble for clean teeth" but strangely the Pro Plan Selects doesn't mention clean teeth (it mentions everything but that). I was wondering if upgrading my dog from regular Pro Plan to Pro Plan Selects would affect his dental health? I don't have time to wash his teeth so i depend soley on the dry kibble. And I've noticed that other dog foods have the dry kibble guarentee except the Pro Plan Selects. So does that mean the the Pro Plan Selects aren't good for the dogs teeth?...Show moreanswers 1:All dry kibble will clean teeth. Some better than others though. What they advertise depends on their marke! ting people.answers 2:since you obviously know that pro plan isn't very good, why not get a better dog food for him? pro plan regular or select isn't going to make much difference at all since it is such poor quality. i'm not trying to criticize you, but just stating facts.answers 3:All dry kibble will help clean teeth. if it's hard it will clean. just make sure you still get your dog a dental when needed. just because it's a dry food, doesnt mean it will do wonders. there is still tarter underneath the gum line that could still cause infection. but to answer your question, both brands are good, and the Pro Plan Seletcs will do the same thing as just Regualr Pro Plan. God Blessanswers 4:Dry dog food does not keep a dog's teeth clean. This is a myth.Do cookies keep your teeth clean? To keep the dog's teeth in good shape, give it a big,raw beef bone with meat on it to chew at least three times a week. This will help a lot in cleaning the teeth, and it's very good for the dog as w! ell. The Pro Plan Selects seem to be pretty good overall.answe! rs 5: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/sh...much better foods available IMOanswers 6:If your walking into Petsmart or Petco and getting dog food anyway and switching foods, why not switch to Blue Buffalo? Compare the ingredients and it's obvious which is better. But for dental health food alone won't cut it no matter what it says on the bag. You'd be better off giving the dog a good solid bone to chew and have the vet examine the teeth with every routine vet visit. HTH http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/Pro Plan is in the 2 star range, Blue Buffalo is 4 star, so you can find them to compare easier. This food switch doesn't even require you to do more than take a few extra steps down the isle.*** Hey I didn't say Blue Buffalo was the end all be all in dog food, but it's a damn sight better than any Pro Plan and it IS two steps down the isle. Not trying to give you grief over your food selection, just pointing out a much better food within easy re! ach that requires absolutely no extra effort. I could understand the thumbs down if I'd suggested Kibbles and Bits or Old Roy or garbage from the dumpster. And dry food does NOT clean teeth, it only helps (as verses canned food), not a sloution in itself. Good grief......answers 7:You likely aren't going to want to hear this, but the "guarantee" for clean teeth is meaningless on all dog food. No dog food is good enough to keep a dog's teeth clean all by itself. If you rely on dog food alone, and don't give your dog raw bones, or brush their teeth because you don't have time, you're going to be spending money on expensive dentals at the vet to keep your dog from having the very serious health problems that come from tooth and gum disease.answers 8:As long as you give your dog treats that are good for their teeth you should seriously be ok. Just don't give you dog too many soft treats or any canned food, because I'm sure you know that's what causes bad breath and their teet! h rotting out. You can get chew bones that are good for their teeth and! treats also, so you are fine. And ignore people that think you need to feed your dog high-priced foods. I feed my Pug Beneful and I feed my lab puppy Pro Plan puppy. They actually like it better than Science Diet. My parents used to breed dobermans and cocker spaniels for years and years and always fed their dogs Purina and NEVER had problems. Dog food is dog food, as long as your dog loves it that's all that matters! It's not like you are feeding them generic food, Purina is fine 🙂 (even my vet says so)...answers 9:With that kind of food, the formula really doesn't matter, you can pretty much expect him to have poor dental health either way.

A menudo será negro o gris.
